Ryley Dalshaug

Associate

Ryley is an associate in the Calgary office.  After joining the firm as an articling student in 2020, Ryley was called to the Alberta Bar in June of 2021.  Ryley attended the College of Law at the University of Saskatchewan from 2017 to 2020 where he obtained his JD (Juris Doctor). During Ryley’s time in law school he represented the College at the 2019 Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot in Toronto, where he and his teammates competed against 16 law schools from across Canada. While in law school Ryley was the drummer for the Dissent in 2019 and 2020. The dissent is a band made entirely of U of S law students.

Ryley was born in Calgary but raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Ryley attended the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan from 2013 to 2017 where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce with distinction while majoring in Finance. While at Edwards he competed in several academic competitions including JDC West, the World Mining Competition, 1st place in the Western CFA Ethics competition and 2nd Place in the National CFA Ethics Competition.

Ryley is an active volunteer in his community volunteering with the pro bono student’s society in 2017-2018 and as an In-School Mentor with Big brothers Big Sisters form 2016 to present day where he continues to mentor virtually.

Outside of the office Ryley enjoys hockey, golfing, drumming, and is excited to be closer to the mountains so he can pursue his love of downhill skiing.
